Audiobook narrator revealed...
There’s something special about having a story read to you, isn’t there? For me, it always brings back memories of when I was a boy, listening to my dad reading stories to me and my brothers. To this day, I’m a huge fan of audiobooks and it’s been brilliant to see the format becoming so popular over the last few years.
Of course, a lot depends on the skill of the narrator in bringing a story to life… which is why I’m absolutely delighted to reveal today that the brilliant Louise Brealey is narrating my brand-new thriller!
Louise Brealey narrates the audiobook of The Daughter
Louise is a multi-award-winning narrator with an incredible track record in audiobooks including None of this is True by Lisa Jewell, The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, plus many more. You might also know her from all four seasons of the TV show Sherlock – in which she played the pathologist Molly Hooper – or for her numerous other roles on stage and screen.
Louise is a master of characterisation and she’s absolutely perfect as Lauren, bringing her intense and conflicting emotions to life as she sets off on a dangerous journey into the dark heart of London to find her daughter, Evie. I’m so pleased Louise is on board – the audiobook is going to be an absolute treat.
I made my own journey to the capital recently, to chat to my publisher as we gear up for the launch of The Daughter on February 27th. We also filmed a Q&A about the new book on the roof terrace of the building, which was a lot of fun (despite the number of out-takes!) and gave some great views across the city.
Filming at Bonnier Books in London
I’ll be releasing clips from the Q&A on my social media channels so keep an eye out if you want to hear those exclusive details about my new novel.
The audiobook of The Daughter – like the hardback and the e-book – is out on 27th February. If you want to be the first to hear the brand-new TM Logan thriller read by a brilliant narrator, why not pre-order today?
Happy listening…
