Summer is my favourite time of year. Long days and warm evenings, lots of time outside under blue skies (hopefully) reading a book in a nice shady spot.

The paperback actually came out on the opening day of the Theakston’s Old Peculier crime writing festival, a big gathering of readers, book bloggers and authors in Harrogate on the third weekend in July. I’ve been going to the festival since 2017 but this year was my first time as a panellist, and it was quite a special moment to climb up onto the main stage to talk about psychological thrillers with four other authors – definitely a highlight of my summer.

Besides working on my TBR pile (and recovering from Harrogate) I’m also busy editing my next thriller. The Daughter follows an ordinary woman who finds herself in a terrifying situation, plunged into a search for her 18-year-old daughter, who has cut off all contact and seems to have vanished without trace… Coming March 2025!
