Getting ready for a summer of crime...

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Harrogate? Tea rooms and grand old buildings? Spring water and spas, or luxury shopping?

For me, the answer is easy: crime.

Or more specifically crime fiction – and the world’s biggest festival celebrating my favourite genre. That’s why it’s such a thrill to be invited to appear at this year’s Theakston’s Old Peculier festival in Harrogate this summer, alongside dozens of other crime and thriller writers. Many of us gathered in London recently for the official unveiling of the programme for the 2024 event, which kicks off on 18th July.

Opening day is going to be a busy one for me as it’s also paperback publication day for The Dream Home!

Many people have asked me when the paperback is coming out, and 18th July is coming up fast so make sure you pre-order to receive your copy in time for the start of the summer holidays. The draft of Book 9 is really taking shape and I’m at that stage of the process now where everything is starting to speed up. The pace of the manuscript is building to a crescendo, the writing is taking on a momentum of its own and I can’t wait to get into my cabin every morning to see where the story takes me…
