My fifth Sunday Times bestseller in hardback!
Publication week is many things: fun, busy, exciting and also nerve-wracking – because you never quite know how a new book will fare when it hits the shelves.
So I was delighted to discover that my new up-all-night thriller became an instant Sunday Times bestseller!
The Daughter - an instant Sunday Times bestseller
The Daughter hit the top ten chart in its first week on sale, landing at number 9 alongside some amazing authors including James Patterson, Jojo Moyes and Elly Griffiths. It’s actually my fifth hardback bestseller in a row which still seems a bit unbelievable to me…
But I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already bought it, enjoyed it, left a review or told a friend. I really appreciate it.
Early feedback for the novel has been fantastic – the bond between mother and daughter that’s at the heart of the story really seems to have struck a chord with readers. In fact, you might even say it’s the perfect Mother’s Day gift😉
Publication day was a lot of fun and the event room at Waterstones in Nottingham was packed to the rafters for the launch, with fellow author Jo Callaghan doing the Q&A. I’ve never seen the room so full or so many people in the signing queue and it was lovely to chat to lots of people who came along.
I’ve been out on my travels since then, talking about The Daughter at events in Mold, North Wales and then in Edlington (South Yorkshire) on Saturday. Great crowds at both venues and I’m looking forward to upcoming events in West Bridgford, Redditch, Stockport, Rotherham, Wrexham, Watford, Fowey and Bath over the next couple of months.
