My events in October/November

Events are like buses… you wait for ages and then six come along at once 😊

I’ve got an even half-dozen events over the coming month where I’ll be talking about novels and writing, answering your questions and signing books. It will be nice to get out and about as the house is rather quiet at the moment – my daughter has flown off to Australia and my son is back at university in Bath for the final year of his degree.

Before they left, they presented me with a thousand-piece puzzle of all my book covers side-by-side for my birthday. Such a wonderful gift although it took me a while to finish! Honestly, all the dark blue pieces made it trickier than it looks…

Anyway, back to those events. I’m really looking forward to them and it would be lovely to see lots of people there, so here’s the info:

Saturday 19th October, 2pm - Thurston, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
I’m a guest of Suffolk Libraries for an afternoon talk at Cavendish Hall in Thurston.

Tuesday 22nd October, 2pm – Wednesbury, West Midlands
This is being held at Wednesbury Library as part of Sandwell Literature Festival.

Friday 25th October, 6.30pm – Basingstoke Discovery Centre, Hampshire
Only Murders in the Library, a crime and thriller festival featuring lots of authors over two days.

Saturday 26th October, 5pm – Birmingham
The Book Party’s Halloween Ball, a gathering of readers, bloggers and authors.

Tuesday, 29th October, 7pm – Reading, Berkshire
I’ll be at Waterstones in Reading talking to fellow author Victoria Selman about our latest thrillers.

Wednesday 6th November, 6pm – Nottingham
Part of the autumn season of events held by Bromley House, the city’s oldest private library.

And just to stay with the theme, there was actually a related question from the Q&A last time that we didn’t have space to fit in. So I thought I’d answer it here!

What’s the favourite event you’ve done?
I love doing events but probably overall my favourite recurring event is the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate each summer. It’s just lovely to get together with so many like-minded people for a long weekend talking books and this year I had the added bonus of being on a panel, on the main stage talking about psychological thrillers which was a huge thrill and a definite tick off the bucket list!

By the way - if you’ve not read Trust Me yet it’s 99p on Kindle for the whole of October :-)
